The Legacy Box

We write your family’s life book — together.

Every family has stories worth keeping. The Legacy Box is a place to collect the moments, people, traditions, and lessons that make your family yours — one small story at a time, with room for the people you love to contribute.

Why I made this

It began on a school morning.

It was the first day of school, and my children were still small enough to hold my whole hand inside theirs. At the door we did what we always did: I kissed each of their palms and closed their fingers around the kiss. Then came the part that stayed with us. We drew a little heart on each other’s wrist — mine on theirs, theirs on mine — in pen, right where a watch would sit.

“If you ever miss me, look down. I am right there.”

That was the whole ceremony. Two seconds, one small heart, and a promise that is hard to explain to anyone who was not standing in that doorway: we are still together, even when we are apart. All day I found myself glancing at my wrist, knowing that somewhere across town small hands were glancing down at theirs, and feeling found.

The heart never really washed off. Not the ink, and certainly not the idea. It followed us through school years and graduations, and it kept asking a question I could not stop turning over: what do we leave behind that is actually worth keeping?

Not a logo. Not a design. Just a quiet mark, left for someone who would find it later — a way of saying, I was here, and I loved you.

The legal documents matter, of course. A trust, a will, a plan — these are the scaffolding. But the heart of a legacy is something else entirely. It is the story: the traditions, the small moments that, together, become a life worth remembering. So we built a place for those stories.

A story written over a lifetime.

Step 1

Capture a moment

Add a memory, a milestone, or a piece of wisdom whenever it surfaces.

Step 2

Reflect with Sage

A gentle prompt from our writing companion helps you deepen each entry.

Step 3

Angela writes alongside you

Over time, Angela adds reflections, and your story becomes a book you write together.

A tool for connection.

Your Legacy Box is a personal space for you and the people you invite to preserve the stories that matter. This experience is still unfolding, and we’re building it together. It may not be perfect just yet, so your questions, ideas, and feedback are genuinely welcome. It’s a place to share the journey, to be known, and to let your story do the careful work of legacy planning alongside the legal one.

The story, in a room

Legacy Box workshops.

Gatherings where families write, remember, and talk through what they hope to pass on — followed by practical, general education about how a plan supports the story you want your family to keep.

First

We begin with stories — the people, traditions, and moments your family wants to keep.

Then

We look at what those stories ask of a plan, so the legal choices make sense in your own life.

If you wish
